As you may have noticed last week, Marc Fish's latest piece Mollusque is finished in a copper coating on the inside surface. This was done with a product made by Vero Metal (http://www.verometal.com/) and on Wednesday the students enjoyed an afternoon of experimenting with it. This product opens up endless possibilities due to the fact that literally anything can be sprayed.

Theo's Jewellery Box
Theo who finished his furniture making course last week has sent through some photos of his jewellery box he made during his time here. A jewellery box is the standard first project on Marc Fish's furniture making course. It is ideal for a first project as it is small and incorporates a variety of techniques and skills. The students also design the box and choose which timbers to use. For this one Theo chose Indian rosewood and sycamore.
